December 15th, Deep Creek Lake Area Snow Report

Deep Creek Lake Snow Report and Weather Forecast Links: Well folks it looks like we may get a nice storm Wednesday and Thursday leading into the weekend. Skiing at the Wisp should be great on the open slopes with no rain in the forecast. Whew! Wisp Resort Webcam

As far as snowshoeing tours, the last bout of snow did not amount to much and warm temps are following today with some sun so just traces and drifts around on the ‘mountain top’ at Deep Creek Lake. Where we live in Friendsville there is no snow to speak of.

This storm could bring a nice depth of 12 inches. That would be enough to snowshoe this weekend since ground may freeze up a little prior to the storm. You can make a reservation and your tour will convert to a special guided hike if snow does not accumulate enough to justify wearing snowshoes. As is usual we won’t really know conditions until the last minute. Feel free to call us for the latest.

ACCUWEATHER -In our opinion the best for western MD weather forecasts.
