(Lecture Series) Edible Wild Plants

A classroom session geared towards learning proper identification (ID) techniques for wild plants. We will talk about foraging, the “weeds” that are welcomed in my garden and why, nutritional value of wild plants, and even go over some simple recipes that can turn a wild plant into food for the dinner table. We will also cover recommended books and materials that are helpful for plant ID. During the presentation, we will go over some of our local easy plants for ID and ways we can test plants for their edibility.
